As a Blessed Ballers NFL Flag Football coach, you are required to sign and submit the Coaches Code of Ethics Pledge. Adherence to this Pledge is a requirement for a coaching or volunteer position. Failure to comply may result in coaching privilege revocation. This copy of the Pledge remains in your coach's file as a record of your agreement to uphold this Pledge. You are also being provided with a copy to serve as your reminder.
I hereby pledge to live up to responsibility as a Blessed Ballers NFL Flag Football coach or volunteer by following the Blessed Ballers NFL Coaches Code of Ethics.
-I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win.
-I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group.
-I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players.
-I will promise to review and practice the basic first aid principles needed to treat injuries of my players.
-I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.
-I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.
-I will provide a sports environment for my team that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and I will refrain from their use at all baseball and softball events.
-I will be knowledgeable in the rules of Flag Football, and I will teach these rules to my players.
-I will use those coaching techniques appropriate for each of the skills that I teach.
-I will remember that I am a youth flag football volunteer coach, and that the game is for children and not adults.
- I understand it is my responsibility to ensure coaching staff (assistant coaches) are present at each game if I cannot be there, and that my team always has an approved / rostered coach present. If this is not possible, I will notify Blessed Ballers NFL Flag staff so that appropriate actions can be taken.
I further understand that failure to uphold this pledge, or generally accepted ethical coaching standards, may cause my coaching privileges to be reviewed by Blessed Ballers NFL Flag Football. This review may result in the loss of my coaching and volunteering privileges or other administrative actions as deemed appropriate by Blessed Ballers NFL Flag Football.
